My Next Site… It’ll Have Nothing To Buy

Posted by Matt in General

Well maybe nothing to buy. I’ve been working on a new site this past month, and should be releasing it sometime soon.

Possibly partnering with Reed Floren on it, so that’s always a good thing. I’ll post the link to it once it’s up and running.

Also, version 5 of optinaccelerator is also just around the corner, I can’t wait. My programmers are putting the final touches on it. It’s looking good.

The OptInAccelerator Launches & My New “Take Over The World” Device…

Posted by Matt in General

OptInAcceleratorThe launch & the relaunch of optinaccelerator was pretty damn amazing, and it’s whats kept me busy these past few months. I actually “jet lagged” myself for the launches… well I call it jetlag. I attempted to run on US time zones. So at 4am over here in Australia, I’d be on the phone chatting away with JV’s and my programmers still fully awake.
All up we hit just over 6 figures in sales. Which I was over the moon about, being my first major IM launch.

The success was mostly thanks to the huge driving force of JV’s I had behind me. Besides the sheer volume of JV’s both Reed Floren & Mike Merz was able to hurl my way, I was lucky enough to get the attention of some of the big internet marketers. They had either bought my product in the first launch and liked it so much that they wanted to help out or had somehow heard of it and wanted to get on board for the relaunch. A big thanks to everyone who helped out!

whiteboardSo where to now? Well it’s back to the drawing board, literally. I’ve just bought myself a massive 1800×1200 whiteboard that fills up almost an entire wall. As you can see, it didn’t stay clean for long. I hate taking notes on a computer, mainly because I’ll forget about them or loose them, so this should be pretty awesome for brain storming what’s next on the agenda or how to take over the world. ;)

All the best!

It’s the FINAL COUNTDOWN

Posted by Matt in General

Like a mad scientist at work, I’ve been busy putting together the finishing touches on my latest creation.
It’s almost ready to go live, the just over 24 hours away.

It’s called http://optinaccelerator.com and it’s set to rock.

The amount of optins coming in is crazy, and I’m getting great feedback from everyone who’s jumped on board.

Michael Cheney is helping me with different aspects of planning the launch, and Filsaime has even jumped in with a few recommendations. Hopefully those two big guns will get bitchy on the JV leaderboard and really slog it out!

I’ll keep things posted with how it’s going, wish me luck!

Me, the Mayor, and a Rubber Duckie

Posted by Matt in General

Check out ultra cool John So & myself on Australia Day!

This man is the Mayor of my home city, Melbourne.

Everyone absolutely loves him. Don’t ask me why, but you can’t not like him. His english isn’t great, but his very cute in a way. This is the type of people we want running our city.

Johns even had a song written about him titled “John So, His Our Bro” and check him out here at this massive rave: http://youtube.com/watch?v=85KxIIu0dkM

Anyway, on Australia Day, John So put on a huge fundraiser, where you could buy a duck and race it against 10,000 other ducks. First duck down the Yarra, and over the line won a car. Oh, and the ducks where yellow rubber duckies!

duck
Impossible to tell if your leading, or if your duck has jumped course, you cheer anyway. All in the hope that your little duckie will get up and win.

The picture on the right shows the ducks heading, ever so slowly, down the Yarra River.

….and guess who won!

Ok wrong, not me. But I couldn’t help getting a picture with John So after the race. When he excitedly asked “Do you want the duck in the picture too??” I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Affiliate ToolBox Creator Launches….FREE!?

Posted by Matt in General

affiliate toolbox What time is it? ToolTime!
Hey guys, if you’ve been living under a rock, then you would have missed my newest software launch, Affiliate ToolBox Creator, and it’s sexy as!

Like my last piece of software, this is something I actually use on my own sites. If your running your own affiliate program, then this software is for you.

The launch, was far from typical. Instead of calling up my JV broker and landing some big promoters, I decided to launch this only with the help of my ninja’s! Yes everyone who had bought my first piece of software, Ninja Link CLoaker, were invited on board to get affiliate toolbox creator rolling.

Ok, so what does it do?

When we sign up for an affiliate program, given it’s a good program, we’ll be directed to a page with promotional tools. Email copy, PPC ads, banners etc etc. Well this software makes those pages. And yes, I used it on my ninja launch, check out the page I created here for the affiliates: Ninja ToolBox

Free!? Matt Have you lost your mind?

Some of the testimonials I received reckon I have, but nevertheless I wanted this launch to be totally different. The software is free at the moment. I’m landing all the visitors on the thankyou page. Now I do have a “one time offer” upgrade pack, which is selling well, so I’m not completely insane. As an affiliate myself, I’m in the mind frame of, the more people who have this software the better.

Why? Well I think we’re all sick of signing up to an affiliate program and not being given ANY tools to promote.
It usually goes something along the lines of:

Here’s your affiliate link, goodluck!” …..omg are you kidding me!

They expect us all to be expert marketers and motivated to create our own promo tools. Well news flash, disagree if you want, but we are SUPER LAZY. Yes… affiliate marketers are lazy!

Now that’s not too say we don’t put in the effort from time to time and create a camtasia or an ebook for something that is bringing in alot of commission, but in general I want to start off with ease. Which means “Copy & Paste” promotional tools. My motivation normally kicks in when I see results…. so why not give us, as affiliates, the tools to succeed, straight of the bat!

Now besides the motivation factor, with these pages recruiting vastly more ACTIVE affiliates, what did I mean by “we are not expert marketers” Well by relying on us, as your affiliates, to create the promotional tools for ourselves, the success rate of those tools are unknown. However by creating the tools yourself or using your own copywriter to help create the tools, you should be able to create substantially better promo tools, which sell a hell of alot more.

The next level up of course is testing! If we are wanting to create the best affiliate program we can possibly provide, we would then begin split testing the tools we’re providing to our affiliates, to ensure we’re giving them thie highest converting material possible.

I could talk for days about this stuff, but in short, simply put, if you have an affiliate program, and you don’t have an affiliate toolbox page, jammed packed with promotional tools for your affiliates, then your shooting yourself in the foot.

I hope you all enjoy it, here’s the link: Affiliate ToolBox Creator

Snow Trip 2007

Posted by Matt in General

Mt. Hotham Snow Trip 07 My winter wonderland comes to a close tomorrow, and i’m already planning when I can get back up here during this season. The first few days I spent training my gf up into a beast of a skier. She went from not being able to make it down the green runs such as “easy street”, to tearing up the black vertical avalanche prone nightmares such as “pump house drop” One of the elders, well 32 but an elder to us, told us black runs normally take at least a month of training and how had she improved so fast? I ensured him she had the bruises which went with it.

The Daily Routine
My military training came into good use with the lack of sleep and our over chocked daily routine we quickly devised. It went something along the lines of: Wake up, ski all morning, lunch on the slopes, ski all afternoon, dinner, night skiing, alcohol… rinse and repeat.

The Hill Of Death

Robertson: “Hey alex, check out those poor suckers walking up that hill, I’d hate to be them hehe”

I knew my army mate Robertson was up at mt. hotham, what were the chances though of his lift passing over head as we began what would become the first of many journeys up the hill of death. It wasn’t until later that him and his gf realized those poor suckers he’d been laughing at from the heights of the chair lift, was in fact us.

We came here to Mt Hotham to go down hills, so when we had to walk up the same hill so many times… the bitching would really vamp up.

Like a marathon, the hill of death is something you only want to do once a year. Unfortunetly, we continually broke that rule. Overski transport unavailable, lifts closing early, forgetting our lift tickets…. all coupled with each night when going out, having to make the journey up the hill under the influence, or carrying your mate which had gotten a bit worse for wear, quickly broke us all.

Show Us Your Harry!

We quickly learnt their’s nothing more fun than boarding a bus full of absolute drunks. And deboarding, just as fun…. we all took turns of slipping & falling down the bus stairs. Simply put nothing was sacred on this bus. Chants came out of no where, sober passengers were demanded to “show their harry’s” (a kids character dinosaur promotion mt hotham had been running) followed by further interrogation of how big was their harry…

The bus service at hotham ran till 3am each night, and although going out late made getting up in the morning a bit more of a challenge, it was well worth it.

Talking about buses, our 6 hour bus ride awaits us tomorrow for our trip back to melbourne. Hopefully I’ll get back up here sometime soon,

NinjaLinkCloaker Launch Week

Posted by Matt in General

Link Cloaker LaunchNinja’s boosted my commissions…..

Well that was the theme for my first product launch. An advanced link cloaking program which prevents commission theft and boosts commissions by hiding affiliate links.

Amongst the most advanced cloaking programs available, the training videos really helped it stand above the pack, with loads of tips & tricks which would allow users to harness and employ the full power of the Ninja software to it’s full capabilities.
With the help of Mike Merz, the software launched at midday EST June 12. The week long launch was a great success and bought in a tonne of sales. I’d like to thank everyone who got on board promoting the launch, especially our three biggest JV parnters- Leon Klepfish, Jamie Ratliff & Reef Floren.

Internet Mastery Secrets

Posted by Matt in General

Early this June I attended the Internet Mastery Secrets Seminar, held in my home town Melbourne, Australia. I rocked up on the first day shocked to see a crowd of about 300 waiting for it to open….. I didn’t even think 300 people had the internet in melbourne! ;)

Running on the same dates as the StomperNet Live seminar which was happening on the other side of the globe, their was suprisingly alot of big names who still attended. Local aussie boy Ed Dale had his smiling face on the seminar letter, unfortunetly he couldn’t make it, as he was tied up with some Apple iPhone convention. (They hadn’t even told him they’d put him down to speak!)

Matt Haslem & Mike Filsaime
Mike Filsaime & Me
Still heavily hungover from the saturday night….
but with Mike speaking early, we went straight to
the seminar, no sleep)

These were some of the speakers who graced the stage:

  • Paul Blackburn (could listen to this guy all day)
  • Jennie Armato (energetic power house all round, “yeh baby”)
  • Andrew & Daryl Grant (nice honest couple)
  • Marc Dassault (Jay Abraham’s local credit card collector. I was warned to lube up before he came out… he sold very hard)
  • Christopher Guerriero
  • Brett McFall
  • Matt & Amanda Clarkson (eBay sellers)
  • Peter Sun (gave us all the most ‘writer downers’ of the seminar)
  • Mike Filsaime (personal favourite)
  • Stephen Pierce
  • Tom Hua (this little guy packed a punch, awesome ideas)

Throughout the three days, the speakers covered some a wide range of areas. Less selling could of been good though. An absolute tonne signed up for programs to double their business income…. well with the majority of the crowd without a site & business to begin with, I aint sure what they thought double zero was)

I was their mainly on the prowl for JV’s in my niche. So when they asked “how many of you don’t have a website yet” , and 75% of the people shot their hands up, I felt a tad out of place.

Thankfully, by fluke, I found myself sitting next to a guy who goes by the name of “Design Guru Ryan”. I was wrapped as I had someone on the same wave length, especially when the convo’s turned techinical, he was easily able to keep up with my nerd side.

I later found out he’d done the graphics work on the DayJobKiller site, and a few other sites I knew of. The weird things is, a few weeks later, my 12 year old blogger friend, David Wilkinsons was estatichow he was getting an aussie kid to do his site graphics for him, and I was like “dude omg, that’s Ryan!”

And so it begins…

Posted by Matt in General

Low and behold, it was only a matter of time before another Matt Haslem would come walking along and snatch up this awesome domain. So with some cash to spare and free time to burn (well singe atleast) I decided to finally setup my own self titled website.

What will I be blogging about? Well that’s the question I’ve been asking myself actually. Thus far I can only presume my interests will be getting front row tickets on the site. Basketball, football, army, skiing, websites, tv, going out….if non of that interests you, please ALT-F4 straight away.

I might also try to get some photos up aswell, to keep all those stalkers out there at bay ;)

Until next time,
- Matt
